Club Laps uses your phone or tablet camera to detect when your vehicle crosses the start/finish line. You calibrate a detection zone once, then the app automatically times every lap using computer vision.
Yes! Club Laps is available on Google Play as well as the App Store. Both versions are free and share the same features.
Currently, Club Laps times one vehicle at a time (single-lane timing). Multi-car support is the most requested feature and is on our roadmap.
Club Laps works with RC cars (all scales: Mini-Z, 1/10, 1/8, trucks), FPV drones and whoops, slot cars, go-karts, and more. Basically anything that crosses a start/finish line!
Nope! No transponders, no sensors, no timing gates. Just your iPhone, iPad, or Android device and a stable place to mount it.
A few things help a lot: mount the device so it can't wobble, keep the detection zone tight around the line, and raise the minimum lap time in race setup so nothing shorter than a real lap can register (you can type a custom value down to the decimal). If lighting is tricky, adjust the sensitivity during calibration. And if a stray lap still sneaks in, you can fix it after the race.
Yes. Open the race, tap Edit Laps, then choose a lap that shouldn't have counted. Merge folds a double-trigger into the previous lap and Trim removes stray laps at the end, with a live preview of your new stats. Undo Edits restores the original race at any time.
Yes! Club Laps works in any lighting condition. You can adjust the sensitivity for your environment.
Absolutely. All your session data, including race notes, can be exported anytime.
No subscriptions, no ads, no accounts. Just pure, honest lap timing.
